About Our Company
Center State Communications began as Willowbend Web Designs when it was founded by Carolyn Malfara in 2003. As a Millersville University graduate and certified teacher, Carolyn had worked for the Tuscarora Intermediate Unit where she had developed and taught computer classes while employed as an Adult Instructor.
In December of 2004, Carolyn entered into a business partnership with Scott A. Shelley. Scott had been a Senior Technical Specialist with a Internet Service Provider for over five years and they had collaborated on many projects over the years. He and Carolyn shared the same vision for quality service. Scott brought an extensive technical background in computer repair, network management and web design. His experience allowed the company to begin offering domain registration and web hosting in house.
In January of 2005, Willowbend Web Designs became Center State Communications. With Carolyn and Scott's combined experiences, it wasn't long until we decided to offer custom print jobs, such as brochures, business cards, and wedding invitations. We offer these services in crisp color laser format.
In the fall of 2005, CSC reached another mile stone when it began offering premium accelerated dial up service, both in the central Pennsylvania area and national wide. Quality, affordable, internet service with 24 hour technical support was a goal of CSC since its founding.
CSC actually designed and tested several network configurations before deciding on the final version which it markets today. Our accelerator technology gives you a “virtual broadband” experience, the speed of cable or DSL at a fraction of the price, in areas where these services are not available.
Willowbend Web Designs was founded on the principal of fast, personal and professional service at very affordable prices. The tradition continues today with Center State Communications. Because we are an owner operated communications and design firm, it allows us a great deal of flexibility on our projects. This enables us to work with each client on an individual basis to offer complete creative control and a solution that meets your individual budget.
